60s Icon, Twiggy

Twiggy, who was born Lesley Hornby, was a 60s pop icon (supermodel, actress and singer) known for her large eyes and thin build.





Twiggy was discovered and offered a modelling contract when she was working in a hair salon. She was sixteen and weighed 41kg.





Because of her thin build image, she kept her childhood nickname, Twiggy.





With her short androgynous hair-cut, fake XXL eyelashes and stylish outfits, she created a new look and became a style icon, copied by many teens.





Twiggy was adored by public from the start and in 1966 she was declared the Face of '66.

Happy Niu Year

Officially the start of the Chinese New Year! Quite sad cuz the atmosphere this year just isn't right. Went over to my granny's place late and many people have left already and that = lesser $$$$$$ hahaha actually I don't really mind but it was really boring over there

Never do last minute shopping

Chinese new year this year's like.. no festive feel (?) at all. Everything just passed so quickly and paaaang, it's here.

Did a very last minute shopping with liwei and ching today. Got them to accompany me if not I wouldn't have anything to wear since new year = new clothes. Headed to Haji and both of them bought clothes/shoes/skirts except me!! Eh waliew you two got clothes already lor

So we went to town and I got really whiny cuz nothing caught my eye for quite some time. In the end I bought this zipper dress I didn't like but love it now (HAHA liwei you're right zzz) and also a zipper skirt. Looove it heehee. And this very pretty ring!

Came home and fell asleep. Sooo tired. Reunion dinner in the night was still okay.. :)

Nana

The movie Nana is out on youtube! Go watch it now cuz it's awesome. I think I watched it like 2 or 3 years ago when Eldora brought the vcd back and it was soo nice I watched it quite a number of times already. Ok thats not the point so just go watch it!!

Friday we had CNY celebration and it wasn't really good. Sec ones who threw back the oranges please start using your brains.

Anyway yesterday's party made me so guilty ): But the good thing is I got this crazy friend now haha see you in chinese class!!

OH yes I bought the bag I've been eyeing for for quite some time already! It was the last piece already so luckily I got it heehee. No cny clothes though, how sad. But liwei and ching are going with me to get them tomorrow! :)

I've finally decided to dig out some time for this post so I won't be a lagger.

We took a total of 4 flights during this trip and Eldora was complaining all.the.time. It was so horrible to sit beside her haha.

The weather was freezing over there. I SWEARRRR

1. Had a hard time connecting to the internet at night which got the both of us super pissed off.

It was seriously freakin cold there when I even had two jackets on. The wind was damn killer

Heezheez so overall I think I prefer TW more (most probably cuz I only spent two days in HK haha) though the weather was like best. We had this one day tour where we went to mountains and all those crap places and mygosh.. I was trembling so hard I could die
